Indonesia: Cemengal has completed the commissioning of a new modular grinding station Plug&Grind XL for Cemindo in Benkulu. This is the third unit that Cemindo has installed in the country.
Cemengal completes commissioning at Cemindo
29 September 2016Indonesia: Cemengal has completed the commissioning period for Cemindo in Medan. Two Plug&Grind XL units are operational at the site, allowing the cement producer to sell nearly 0.5Mt/yr of cement. A third unit is also due to start work in the country in the next few months.
Hazemag to supply crusher plant to Cemindo Gemilang
04 March 2014Indonesia: Hazemag & EPR has won a contract to supply a large crushing plant for a Sinoma International Engineering cement plant project on behalf of PT Cemindo Gemilang. The completed cement plant will have a production capacity of 10,000t/day and will be situated in Bayah, Java. Delivery of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2014.
The crushing plant to be supplied consists of a large apron feeder and a wobbler feeder for pre-screening. The impact crusher, with a rotor diameter of 2.5m and a rotor width of 3.0m, is the largest impact crusher that Hazemag produces. The crushing plant also includes a smaller apron feeder to allow two different raw materials to be processed at the same time. The crusher is equipped with a GSK-rotor and a hydraulic impact apron support system HAZtronic®. The total plant capacity is 2500t/hr.
Construction to start at 4Mt/yr cement plant in Banten
11 September 2013Indonesia: PT Cemindo Gemilang is due to start building a US$450m cement plant in Banten province following a groundbreaking ceremony on 11 September 2013. The 4Mt/yr plant will be situated on a 500 hectare plot in Bayah, Lebak regency. It is due to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2015.
The subsidiary of oil palm plantation, mining and property business Ganda Group intends to spend a further US$150m on developing related infrastructure for the plant including a port and a power network. Cemindo will finance the project with external and internal funds. The majority of the funding, representing 70% of total investment, will be obtained from a syndicated loan led by the state-owned Bank Negara Indonesia.
Cemindo sells cement under the Semen Merah Putih brand in 20 provinces in Java, Kalimantan and Sumatra. In 2012 it acquired a majority stake in Vietnamese cement producer Chinfon Cement Corporation for US$250m.
Sinoma secures US$350m Indonesian supply contract
16 January 2013Indonesia: China National Materials Company Limited (Sinoma) has said that its subsidiary Sinoma International Engineering and Indonesia's PT Cemindo Gemilang have entered into an operation contract worth US$350m.
Under the contract, Sinoma International will provide services to PT Cemindo Gemilang including limestone/clay joint breaking and long belt conveying, and one complete clinker production line with a daily production capacity of 10,000t/day. The project is located in County Bayah of Banten Province in Indonesia.
