Najran Cement launches cement delivery app
25 December 2024Saudi Arabia: Najran Cement Company has launched Wasel, an app for business-to-business cement distribution. Argaam News has reported that users can order and track cement deliveries on the app.
CEO Abdulsalam bin Abdullah Aldraibi said "The development of this system started at the end of 2023 and its modules were gradually launched during 2024 according to the priority of the operational need. Today, all modules of the system have been successfully completed and the system has been linked to other supporting systems such as the vehicle tracking system and the Saudi Public Transport Authority’s Waybill transport issuance system."
Tanzania: The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has introduced a new digital verification application named Hakiki Stempu, aimed at helping consumers verify the quality of cement products and combat the sale of counterfeit and substandard cement.
Ndositwe Haonga, TRA Director for Internal Affairs, explained that Hakiki Stempu allows the public to check whether the product they are about to purchase is genuine or not by scanning the product to check if it has the right tax stamp. The app also serves as a tool for ensuring that products meet necessary standards and offer value for money.
93% of Cemex's cement customers now use Cemex Go sales platform
23 November 2022Mexico: Cemex has recorded a total of 50,000 users of its Cemex Go online sales platform since its launch in 2017. Exchanges via the platform account for 93% of the group's global cement customers and 85% of concrete customers. Cemex Go's net promoter score (NPS) customer satisfaction rating rose by 50% between November 2018 and November 2022.
Chief executive officer González Olivieri said "Cemex Go is an important enabler in our transition to a lower carbon industry by improving supply chain logistics, moving to a paperless industry and increasing efficiency throughout the construction sector."
ACC launches Concrete Direct delivery app
01 April 2022India: ACC has launched its new Concrete Direct app for booking and live tracking concrete deliveries. The producer says that the app reduces operational follow-up calls.
Managing director and CEO Sridhar Balakrishnan said “At ACC, we recognise the need to improve and lead through digitalisation. We are happy to launch Concrete Direct, a premium digital tool that saves time and money for our customers. With such innovations, we want to enhance customer experience and build a strong ecosystem of partners to support them.”
Holcim Philippines promotes retail mobile app
17 July 2019Philippines: Holcim Philippines is promoting its retail mobile app called Easybuild. It is intended to allow customers to place orders, check delivery status and review account history and credit, among others functions. The company has initially partnered with leading financial institution Metrobank for an online payment facility. Nearly 700 customers are using the system. It is the latest version of Holcim Philippines’ online customer service portal, which it pioneered in the cement industry in 2001. Already available for the Android operating system, an iOS version will be launched in August 2019.
Germany: Beumer Group has developed the Beumer Overall Operation Monitoring app, and mobile phone application that enables staff to maintain an overview of all the relevant parameters of their packaging line. The application shows the status of availability, performance and quality levels as well as the energy and compressed air consumption. The program can be adapted to customer-specific requirements. The development is intended to move Beumer Group’s products and practices towards the so-called Industry 4.0 with increased automation and data exchange for industrial processes.
Ghacem launches academy and app
06 June 2017Ghana: Ghacem has launched its first ever cement academy and a mobile app that is designed to equip block makers across the country and expand their knowledge regarding cement usage. According to the Commercial Director of Ghacem, Nana Philip Archer, the latest innovation by the company stemmed from three principles; Developing a premium brand, professionalism and the fostering of easy transactions among its stakeholders, especially customers.
“It is not just about producing quality blocks but we want to embark on an educational drive and that is the reason why we have launched the Ghacem Academy,” said Archer. “We are doing this just so we expand the knowledge boundaries of how to use Ghacem cement.”
