Holger von Hebel appointed as chief financial officer at Bosch Rexroth

Germany: Bosch Rexroth has appointed Holger von Hebel as its chief financial officer (CFO) and the Director of Industrial Relations with effect from 1 October 2021. He will retain his position as head of the Mobile Hydraulics business unit. Von Hebel succeeds Markus Forschner, who will join the board of management of Robert Bosch as CFO and chief performance officer in 2022.

Von Hebel studied industrial engineering in Berlin and Karlsruhe. He joined the Bosch Group in 1990 as a trainee. After serving in a range of management positions in Germany and other countries, he became the commercial director of Switzerland-based Bosch subsidiary SIG Pack International in 2004. In 2005, von Hebel was given additional responsibility for finances, controlling and IT at the former Packaging Technology division of Bosch. Afterward, he became chairman of the divisional board of management of Bosch Solar Energy. Von Hebel has worked in a variety of areas at Bosch Rexroth since 2013 when he became the commercial director of the former Industrial Applications business unit. He has been the managing director of the Mobile Hydraulics division since 2017.

Bosch Rexroth supplies drive and control technologies to a variety of industries including the cement sector.

Steffen Haack appointed as executive board member responsible for engineering at Bosch Rexroth

Germany: Bosch Rexroth has appointed Steffen Haack as its executive board. His tasks include the engineering activities of the company and responsibility for the three business units which constitute the Industrial Hydraulics division. Haack will retain his role as head of the Industrial Hydraulics business unit. He succeeds Heiner Lang as head of Engineering, who left the company at the end of 2020.

Haack, aged 54 years, holds a doctorate degree in fluid technology and he began his career at Bosch in 1996. Since 2017, he has been managing the Industrial Hydraulics business unit, for which he will continue to remain responsible. He was previously a member of the executive board of Bosch Rexroth from 2015 to 2017. In addition to his professional activities, Haack is a member of the executive board of the Fluid Technology Association at the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) and the advisory board of the German Mechanical Engineering Summit.

Other appointments include the decision to place executive board member Marc Wucherer in charge of the Factory Automation division, another unit previously managed by Lang. Wucherer has been responsible for sales and for the three hydraulics business units Industrial Hydraulics, Large Hydraulic Drives, and Large Projects since 2017. Responsibility for these three hydraulics units will be transferred to Haack.

Germany-based Bosch Rexroth is a supplier of drive and control systems for many industries including cement, mining and materials handling.

His tasks will include managing the engineering activities of the company and responsibility for the three business units which constitute the Industrial Hydraulics division. He will take over the role as Head of Engineering from Heiner Lang, who will leave the company by the end of 2020. Haack will retain his role as head of the Industrial Hydraulics business unit. Marc Wucherer, aged 51 years, will be put in charge of the Factory Automation division.

Reinhard Schäfer joins board of Bosch Rexroth

Germany: Reinhard Schäfer has joined the management board of Bosch Rexroth. He succeeds Bertram Hoffmann, who left the company at the end of March 2019.

Schäfer, aged 54 years, takes on Hoffmann’s responsibilities for manufacturing and quality management at the engineering company. The mechanical engineer began his career in 1986 as a trainee at the former Rexroth Star in Schweinfurt and advanced to the position of technical plant director and managing director. He then held a number of executive positions in manufacturing and quality management in different areas within the automotive division of the Bosch Group in Germany, the Netherlands and China.
