Polish cement production grew by 12% to 18.9Mt in 2019
17 April 2019Poland: Data from the Cement Producers Association (SPC) shows that cement production grew by 12% year-on-year to 18.9Mt in 2019. Concrete production rose by 6.8% to 25.3Mm3. This was attributed to a growing construction sector, according to the Polish News Bulletin. Both cement and concrete production is expected to continue growing in 2019 to 19Mt and 26.2Mm3 respectively.
Poland: Cement production in Poland increased by 1.6% year-on-year to 1.65Mt in July 2015, while cement sales were up by 1.7% to 1.71Mt, according to Poland's Cement Producer Association. Year-to-date cement production grew by 2% year-on-year to 8.84Mt while year-to-date cement sales rose by 2.3% to 9.04Mt.
Cement prices to rise in Iran
18 June 2014Iran: The Iranian government has given permission to cement producers to increase their prices. The new prices will become effective on 21 June 2014, according to the Mehr News Agency. Previously it was reported that Iran's Cement Producers Association planned to increase cement prices by 14 – 21% in the current Iranian calendar year (which started on 21 March 2014). The Cement Producers Association and the Industry, Mine, and Trade ministry signed an agreement in the 2013 – 2014 Iranian year, establishing the trade association as the driver of cement prices.
Poland's cement output surges 42% in December 2013
09 January 2014Poland: Poland's cement production totalled 846,500t in December 2013, up by 42% year-on-year, according to statistics from the country's Cement Producer Association.
Cement sales jumped to 725,500t in December 2013, marking a 55.3% year-on-year increase on December 2012. For the 12 months to December 2013, cement output declined by 7.5% to 14.5Mt, while sales dropped by 7.6% to 14.6Mt.
