India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has stopped its kiln for a temporary period of 15 – 20 days due to high clinker inventory levels. Cement grinding and despatch will continue unabated. The cement producer operates an integrated plant at Sidheegram in Gujarat.

India: Saurashtra Cement and Gujarat Sidhee Cement have agreed to merge into a single entity. Their respective boards of directors approved the plans on 30 December 2021.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has restarted the kiln at its Sidheegram cement plant in Gujarat. Reuters News has reported that full operations will commence at the plant on 25 September 2021. The producer shut down its kiln line for routine maintenance on 7 September 2021.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has shut down the kiln line of its Sidheegram, Gujarat, cement plant for 17 – 20 days. India InfoLine News Service has reported that the company will carry out routine maintenance on the plant during the shutdown. It says that grinding and dispatch of cement will continue as usual.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement resumed production at its 1.2Mt/yr Sidheegram plant in Gujarat on 15 April 2020. The company said that in reopening the plant it would ‘comply with directives issued by central, state and local government,’ according to Accord Fintech News.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has appointed Ashwani Kumar as an independent non-executive director. Kumar, aged 60 years, has worked for over 37 years in the banking sector for Allahabad Bank, Corporation Bank and Dena Bank. He holds post graduation qualifications in chemistry and is a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement’s revenue grew by 2.3% year-on-year to US$57.5m in the nine months to 31 December 2018 from US$56.2m in the same period in 2017. It made a loss of US$1.66m compared to a profit of US$1.87m previously. Its costs rose by 13% to US$62m from US$55m, in part due to the cost of raw materials.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has temporarily suspended operations at its Sidheegram plant in Gujarat due to heavy rain. It said that suspension was a ‘precautionary measure.’ All operations of the kiln and upstream equipment has been stopped. However, cement grinding and despatch will constine to operate.

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has commissioned a 5.5MW waste heat recovery plant at its Sidheegram plant in Gujarat. The project has a budget of US$10m. Power generated from the unit is expected save the plant US$2.6m/yr .

India: Gujarat Sidhee Cement has extended the shutdown period of its Sidheegram plant until 28 September 2017 due to additional maintenance work on the kiln and coal mill. The maintenance period was originally scheduled to last until 25 August 2017. The cement producer said that cement grinding and packing operations will continue as normal and that the plant will meet all despatch requirements. Cement sales volumes are expected to be unaffected.
