He succeeds Kevin Larcombe in the post, who moves to Holcim Australia as General Manager - NSW & ACT Concrete. Miller previously worked as the Chief Strategy Officer for AdBri in Australia and previously joined the company in 2007. He holds a degree in management and marketing from the University of South Australia.
Holcim New Zealand takes receipt of Christian Pfeiffer ball mill
04 November 2022New Zealand: Holcim New Zealand says that it has received a mill for use in its upcoming Auckland cement replacement products import and distribution facility. The company opted for a Christian Pfeiffer ball mill for the project.
Holcim New Zealand says that alternative materials imported via the Auckland facility will eliminate 100,000t/yr of cement from New Zealand's 1.6Mt/yr consumption. The company expects that this will cut 78,000t/yr of CO2 emissions.
Australia/New Zealand: George Agriogiannis has been appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) at Holcim Australia and New Zealand. He succeeds Mark Campbell, according to the Australian newspaper. Agriogiannis was previously the executive general manager of concrete and aggregates at Adelaide Brighton. His departure coincides with new CEO Nick Miller officially taking up the post. Agriogiannis starts the new job with the LafargeHolcim subsidiary on 11 March 2019.
