Kuwait: Kuwait Portland Cement more than doubled its sales year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022, to US$107m from US$45m in first quarter of 2021. The company’s net profit also rose, by 69% to US$7.18m from US$4.24m.
Kuwait: Bruks Siwertell has received an order from Kuwait Portland Cement for a ST 490-M type ship unloader. The rail-mounted unit will handle various cement types and deliver a continuous material handling capacity of 800t/hr, discharging vessels up 50,000dwt. It will be installed on an existing jetty next to the customer’s older ST 490-F type rail-mounted Siwertell unloader. Delivery to the port is planned for mid-2023. A notable feature of the order is the unit’s ability to withstand high ambient temperatures of up to 55°C.

21 February 2020Kuwait: Kuwait Portland Cement has reported that its fourth quarter profit for 2019 fell by 44% to US$4.57m from US$8.15m in the fourth quarter of 2018. Its fourth quarter operating revenue in 2019 was US$76.3m, down by 36% from US$119m a year earlier.

12 November 2019Kuwait: Kuwait Portland Cement reported a 75% decrease in its net profit during the third quarter of 2019. Its profit was US$2.0m in the third quarter of 2019 compared with US$8.0m in a year earlier. Kuwait Portland’s nine month profit came to US$20.3m, a 21% fall year-on-year compared with US$25.7m. It attributed the decrease in profit to lower net returns on investments.

19 June 2012Kuwait: Several sets of financial results for Kuwaiti cement companies have been released for the year to 31 December 2011.
Hilal Cement has reported that its total revenue increased by 5.8% to US$71.1m and its net profit grew by 70.5% to US$4.4m.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Portland Cement saw its total revenue drop to US$174.4m, a drop of 18.4%, with its net profit slumping by 88.6% to US$9.1m.
Kuwait Cement recorded a fifth consecutive year of positive earnings, a 20.8% increase in total revenue to US$215.9m, and a 6.8% improvement in net profit to US$51.2m.
