Randall P Breaux appointed president of Motion Industries
02 January 2019US: Randall P Breaux has been appointed as the president of Motion Industries. He was most recently Executive Vice President of Marketing, Distribution, and Purchasing for Motion Industries, and has nearly four decades of experience in the industrial manufacturing and distribution markets.
Breaux joined Motion Industries in mid-2011 following 21 years with ABB/Baldor Electric Company, a manufacturer of industrial electric motors, drives and mechanical power transmission components, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He joined Baldor in 1989, and held various sales and marketing positions in the company. Just prior to joining Motion, Baldor was acquired by ABB. At that time, he was promoted to Vice President of Integration by ABB and was tasked with bringing the Baldor and ABB electric motor businesses together in North America. He served as Baldor's Vice President of Marketing from 2001 - 2011, played a key role in Baldor's acquisition of Dodge and Reliance Electric from Rockwell Automation in 2007, and served as an officer of the company for over 11 years.
Motion Industries chief Tim Breen dies
22 August 2018US: Tim Breen, the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Motion Industries, has died suddenly. The 58-year old began his career with Berry Bearing Company in 1982 and worked as a Sales Representative, Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and Corporate Accounts Manager, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.
His responsibilities continued to grow after Berry Bearing and Motion Industries joined forces in 1993. He worked as a Division Officer and Group Officer and took responsibility of all the US locations in 2011 as Executive Vice President and chief operating officer (COO). Breen was promoted to Motion Industries President and COO in 2013, before his promotion in November 2014 to President and CEO.
"Motion Industries has lost a great leader and the world has lost an amazing human being," said Motion Industries. "Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Tim have lost a dear friend and an inspiration. Tim leaves behind a great company, a great culture and a great team that he affectionately referred to as 'The Motion Family.' His spirit will forever live on at Motion."

Motion Industries makes appointments
10 January 2018US: Motion Industries has made three appointments to its management with effect from 11 December 2017.
Randy Breaux has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Marketing, Distribution, and Purchasing. In 2016, he was promoted to his most recent position of Senior Vice President of Marketing, Distribution, and Purchasing. He joined Motion Industries in 2011 as Senior Vice President after over 20 years at Baldor Electric.
Kevin Storer has been promoted to Executive Vice President of US Operations and President of MI Mexico, and will maintain responsibility for all field branch sales in the US and Mexico. He began his career with Motion Industries in the West Group in 1987 before being promoted in 2016 to his most recent position as Senior Vice President of US Operations and President of MI Mexico.
Mark Stoneburner has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Industry Segments and Business Development. He joined Motion Industries in 2016 as Corporate Account Vice President - Industry Segments, bringing with him 33 years of industry experience. Stoneburner will continue to share responsibility for merger and acquisition (M&A) strategy.

Jim Williams elected as president for Power Transmission Distributors Association in 2018
01 November 2017US: Jim Williams, the vice president (corporate purchasing and supplier relations) of Motion Industries, has been elected as the president of the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) in 2018. He will assume the role in January 2018. He succeeds Tom Clawser.
Williams has been a PTDA volunteer since 2005 when he joined the Motion Control Task Force. A past chair of the Programs and Products Committee, he has served on the Board of Directors since 2015.
