Beumer Group opens new head office in the UK
28 April 2023UK: Germany-based Beumer Group has opened a new local head office at Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire. The previous head office in the country, near London, will continue to operate as a satellite office.
David McGarry, the chief executive officer of Beumer Group UK, said “The opening of the new UK head office reinforces our strong partnership and commitment to our customers in the UK and Ireland, this will enable us to provide an even more seamless service to support them in their continued growth investing in local expertise in the long term.”
Beumer Group sells products for conveying, loading, palletising, packaging, sortation and baggage handling.
Thyssenkrupp Polysius Indonesia inaugurates headquarters
18 November 2022Indonesia: Thyssenkrupp Polysius Indonesia has inaugurated its new offices in Jakarta's Tempo Scan Tower. The supplier said that the new headquarters will bring a stronger business focus to its decades-long presence in Indonesia by providing a broader scope of local service-driven solutions. Thyssenkrupp Polysius Indonesia country manager Ridwan Setiawan will head the new office.
Asia Pacific Regional head of cement Lukas Schoeneck said “With this new office, we are celebrating the return of the name and brand Polysius in one of the most important and energetic markets in the Asia Pacific region. Hazemag opens office in France
06 April 2022France: Hazemag has opened an office at Sarreguemines. Its French team will support a growing customer base in France, francophone parts of Europe and some territories in North Africa. The Germany-based group supplies equipment such as screeners, feeders and crushers for raw material markets.
Vortex Global opens new office in Shanghai
03 August 2021China: Vortex Asia-Pacific has opened a new office in Shanghai. It is intended to serve the solids and bulk handling components company’s customers in China and a variety of other countries in Asia. The subsidiary of US-based Vortex Global was established in 2009.
“Vortex has been established in China for over a decade and is excited about our continued partnership with dry bulk processors across the country. It is also great to see our team transition back into a new office environment after a difficult year with the pandemic,” said Travis Young, the president and chief executive officer of parent company Vortex Global.
Turkey: ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions Turkey has launched a new 14,000m2 manufacturing and service centre including four workshop halls and offices in Ankara. The company said that the site will employ 30 people to begin with and produce and assemble steel structures, machines, components and spare and ware parts, including for the cement industry.
Managing director Can Yapan said, “This new manufacturing and service centre enables us to even better meet our customers’ increasing demand for services throughout the entire life cycle of their plants and machines.” He added, “We already started contributing Turkey’s economy with the completion and export of our first manufacturing order in October 2020.”
Plant manager Serhan Usman said, “We want to offer the best possible services to our customers. Our maintenance assistance system and performance and quality monitoring make it easier to plan and forecast plant operation. Drone inspections and 3D plant scanning, or remote inspections and remote condition monitoring are just a few more solutions of our digital service portfolio.”
Belarusian Cement Company opens Polish office
28 February 2020Poland: Belarusian Cement Company (BCC) says that it has responded to ‘increased demand for Belarusian cement in Central Europe in 2019’ by opening an office in Warsaw, Poland. Belarus Daily News has reported that one purported aim of the office is to court supply contracts with ‘European, Polish, German and other partners.’
Both Krichevtsementnoshifer and Krasnoselskstrojmaterialy, the remaining two of Belarus’s three cement producers, have reportedly concluded preliminary agreements for export of their cement to Poland in 2020.
Schmersal Group opens new branch in Dubai
30 July 2019UAE: Germany’s Schmersal Group has set up a new subsidiary ‘Schmersal Middle East-FZE’ to focus on business in the Middle East. The new company has opened an office in Dubai to support its development in the region. Uwe Seeger, Director of Asia Pacific Middle East at Schmersal Group said that he expected ‘great potential’ from the area.
Schmersal Group builds switchgears for the protection of machines and plants in industrial automation and lift industry. It is represented with its own corporations and distribution partners in over 60 countries.
India/UK: The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) has launched GCCA India. As part of GCCA’s strategic partnership with the World Business Council on Sustainable Development the new office, based in Mumbai, will take over the work of the Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI) India, which formerly served as the sector’s sustainability alliance.
GCCA India plans to ensure that, from a sustainability angle, innovation in technology and manufacture, and collaboration across the wider built environment, the Indian cement sector can play a key leadership role. It will develop a work program that will focus on the wider global GCCA priorities but with practical application across the Indian built environment.
Australia: ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions has opened a new service centre in Brisbane. The US$0.7m centre will be used to support customers in the mining, cement and chemical industries. It includes office, warehouse and workshop space.
“This new facility enables us to co-locate our engineering and project staff with our service personnel. For our clients in the mining, cement and chemical industries this means they benefit from an integrated project life-cycle approach, incorporating the latest products and technologies. After having worked successfully with our customers in Australia for many years, this investment was a logical consequence”, says Andrew Howie, chief executive officer (CEO) of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions Australia.
Fives sets up new subsidiary in Middle East
31 December 2018UAE: Fives Group’s Mineral Business Line has set up a new subsidiary in the Middle East to support customers with services and technical assistance. Based in Dubai and referring to the Services Department, the new division aims to support Fives' customers through a local presence and by offering its services including upgrade and revamping projects, technical assistance, supply of spare parts, on-site machining and so on.
