UK: Oscrete UK has appointment three new sales managers and two new trainee concrete technicians as part of on-going growth at the company. David Todd has joined as Area Technical Sales Manager (North), David Taylor as Area Sales Manager (Midlands) and Karl Mobley Area Technical Sales Manager (South East). Keiron and Michael Todd have joining the new product development (NPD) and technical team. Todd worked previously as an account manager for Cemex.

Oscrete is a specialist construction chemical suppliers, manufacturing a range of concrete admixtures for the pre-cast and ready-mix market and developing and supplying additives for the manufacture of dry bagged mortars and adhesives.

UK: Ireland-based Ecocem has appointed Mark Till as its National Sales Manager for the UK. His role will include overseeing commercial operations across the company's UK bases, strengthening existing customer relationships, working on specifications from engineers and architects and developing opportunities in new markets. Till has worked for Ecocem since 2019 as the UK Regional Sales Manager. Prior to this he worked for Oscrete Construction Products in sales roles from 2011 and for Brett Aggregates from 2002.

UK: Concrete admixture producer Oscrete UK has appointed Matthew Gabriel to the role of new product development and sustainability manager. The company says that the appointment strengthens its commitment to sustainable construction.

Gabriel said “With the environment at the forefront of everyone’s minds, and customers looking to increase their use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM), my priority is to develop products and processes which support our customers’ own route towards low carbon concrete.” He continued “Finding cost effective green solutions without impacting performance is key to the future of the construction sector. We are now looking to develop products that can help our customers to use or increase the use of products with a lower eCO₂, hence the creation of a role dedicated entirely to this arena.”

UK: Concrete admixture manufacturer Oscrete UK has become standalone company following its departure from Christeyns Group. The move is intended to spark a period of investment and allow for a renewed focus on core markets. Oscrete manufactures and supplies a range of super-plasticising admixtures,waterproofing agents and efflorescence controllers for the precast and ready-mix concrete and the ready-to-use mortar industries. It has operated within Christeyns Group since 1983.

Scott Wilson, director of Oscrete UK, said, “The pandemic brought considerable challenges in the construction sector, quickly followed by substantial growth and we’ve recognised we need a bespoke business model dedicated entirely to our industry to facilitate growth, new product development within our in-house development lab and specialist recruitment.
