India: Rain Industries has expanded the capacity of its Kurnool grinding plant in Andhra Pradesh. Reuters News has reported that the expansion enlarges the plant’s capacity by 38% to 2.8Mt/yr from 2Mt/yr.
Rain approves upgrade at Boincheruvupalli plant
16 August 2018India: Rain Industries has approved an upgrade project on a cement mill at Rain Cement’s Boincheruvupalli Village plant in Andhra Pradesh. The project is approved up to a cost of US$5.9m, funded through internal accruals. It is expected to be completed by 30 June 2019. After the upgrade the plant’s grinding capacity will increase from 2.0Mt/yr to 2.8Mt/yr.
Rain Cement to develop 7MW waste heat recovery system
03 March 2015India: The board of directors of Rain Commodities Ltd has given the go ahead to a proposal to develop a 7MW waste heat recovery (WHR) system at Rain Cement's plant in Boincheruvupalli Village, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh.
The power plant will produce up to 7MW of gross electrical energy from the waste heat and flue gases produced during the cement manufacturing process at a project cost of US$11.3m. The project that will be funded by internal accruals and bank loans and is expected to be completed in about 14 months.
