New ECEBOL cement plant at Caracollo inaugurated
05 August 2019Bolivia: Empresa Publica Productiva Cementos de Bolivia’s (ECEBOL) new integrated cement plant at Caracollo in Oruro has been inaugurated. President Evo Morales attended the event for the 1.3Mt/yr plant, according to the Correo del Sur newspaper. The project had an investment of US$306m and it was built by a consortium of Sacyr, Imasa and Polysius.

The US$306m plant will have a production capacity of 1.3Mt/yr, according to Radio FM Bolivia. A consortium of Sacyr, Imasa and Polysius have worked on the project.
Bolivia: Sacyr Industrial and Imasa Ingenieria y Proyectos have awarded a contract to Claudius Peters for a packing and palletising system for the Potosí cement plant. The scope of delivery consists of a 12 spout Pacpal Roto Fill with a capacity of 3600bags/hr, an automatic bag applicator with cassette magazine as well as a palletizing system Pacpal Palletiser 5000. The palletiser is designed for 50kg bags and suitable for a five-bag layer type on slip sheets. The plant is operated by the state-run cement producer Empresa Publica Productiva Cementos de Bolivia (ECEBOL). No value for the order has been disclosed.

A consortium of Sacyr, Imasa and Polysius are working on the US$244m project, according to the La Patria newspaper. A US$2m electrical sub-station is also being built to support the plant.
Sacyr to build cement plant in Bolivia for US$244m
07 April 2014Bolivia: A consortium, led by Sacyr Industrial, has won an order for the construction of a cement plant in Bolivia for US$244m.
The contract, which was signed with the Bolivian state-run cement producer Empresa Publica Productiva Cementos de Bolivia (ECEBOL), includes the design, supply of machinery, construction, installation and launch of the plant in the city of Oruro in the central west of the country. The plant is planned to have a clinker capacity of at least 3000t/day.
The contract is in line with Sacyr's strategy for global expansion. The company is already present in Australia, the UK and Peru, with various projects in the oil, gas, power infrastructure, energy and waste-treatment sectors.
