Bruks Siwertell rebrands

26 June 2020

US: Bruks Siwertell has launched a new branding, including a brand new logo. Group chief executive officer (CEO) Peter Jonsson said, “Our new appearance is part of a recognition process. It shows customers that Bruks and Siwertell products are part of the same family, and enables the instant association of our equipment with the ability to add value to operations, generate profitability and offer an impressive return on investment for their owners.” He added, “We have grown our business significantly over the last few years and this is a natural stage in our transformation process: a new look to show the market that we are bigger than our individual brands.”

Cargotec sets up dry bulk handling joint venture with JCE Invest

09 May 2018

Finland: Cargotec has signed an agreement with JCE Invest to establish a joint venture, Bruks Siwertell Group, specialised in dry bulk handling. The new joint venture will own Siwertell and Bruks Holding. Cargotec will own 48% of the shares in Bruks Siwertell Group and JCE Invest will own the remaining share.

"This joint venture supports Cargotec's strategy to focus on container ports, heavy industrial segment and logistics. Siwertell's business is outside these core focus areas, with different customers, customer locations and limited synergies with the rest of our businesses. By joining forces with JCE Group, we are able to create a company that will be a significant player in the bulk material handling with a globally competitive and specialised product portfolio," said Antti Kaunonen, president of Kalmar, part of the Cargotec group.

Siwertell is a supplier of ship unloaders, road-mobile unloaders, port-mobile unloaders, ship loaders, mechanical and pneumatic conveying systems, and bulk terminal solutions. Bruks specialises in mechanical-engineering and equipment supply for the bulk materials handling industries.

Siwertell receives order for road-mobile ship unloader

15 February 2017

Sweden: Siwertell, part of Cargotec, has received an order for a road-mobile ship unloader for an undisclosed client. The 10 000 S trailer-based, diesel-powered unit will be used to unload cement at a rated capacity of 300t/hr. It will join the customer's existing Siwertell 10 000 S road-mobile unloader, which it has been operating since 2015.

The new unit will be equipped with a dust filter and a double-bellows system, allowing uninterrupted discharge when changing between trucks or rail wagons. It will be constructed at Siwertell's premises in Bjuv, Sweden, with delivery scheduled for March 2017. The customer has also signed a Siwertell Service Contract for both units to cover servicing and support.

Siwertell receives order for road-mobile cement unloader from Acico Construction

10 February 2017

Kuwait: Siwertell, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract with Acico Construction for its third road-mobile cement unloader. Similar to its last delivery in 2015, the road-mobile unloader will be a trailer-based, diesel-powered Siwertell 10 000 S unit. It will be fitted with dust filters and a double bellows system and like its predecessor will have a rated capacity of 300t/hr. Acico also operates a Siwertell 5 000 S unit, which was delivered in 2014.

The new unit will be built at Siwertell's premises in Bjuv, Sweden and delivered by the end of the first quarter of 2017. It will operate in Kuwait's second largest port, Shuaiba, located south of Kuwait City.

Acico Construction, part of Acico Industries Company, was founded in 1990 and has experienced sustained and steady growth. Its third Siwertell unit has been ordered so that the company can focus its operations on the increasing number of larger vessels, up to 10,000t, that it now handles. It also uses a two-year Siwertell Care maintenance support contract, signed in 2015, to cover Acico's first two road-mobile units. The agreement includes an ongoing training element for Acico maintenance staff, covering mechanical and electrical systems and instrumentation.

Siwertell wins repeat order from Muhammet Gümüstas

08 September 2016

Turkey: Siwertell, part of Cargotec, has won its fourth road-mobile unloader order from Turkish cement company Muhammet Gümüstas. Three similar systems have been delivered to the same customer since 2012.

The new trailer-based, diesel-powered, Siwertell 10 000 S road-mobile unloader will be used to discharge cement at 300t/hour. It will be equipped with a double bellows system, with an automatic shifting function, to allow continuous operation. The unloader will also be fitted with a dust filter to minimise atmospheric emissions.

"Good experience with its three existing Siwertell systems was an important factor in winning this latest contract with Muhammet Gümüstas," said Jörgen Ojeda, Director, Mobile unloaders, Siwertell. "The fact that its competitors use Siwertell units was also a significant driver in this competitive business.”

The new unloader will be put into operation in the Turkish ports of Kardeniz and Marmara, taking full advantage of the flexibility offered by Siwertell's road-mobile units. It is being built at Siwertell's manufacturing premises in Bjuv, Sweden. Delivery is scheduled before the end of August 2016.
