US: Peru-based Unacem recorded a rise in cement sales volumes in its US operations during the second quarter of 2024 to 324,000t, a 96% increase from the same period in 2023. It partly attributed the growth to the addition of the Tehachapi plant in California in August 2023, which contributed 159,000t during the reporting period, Noticias Financieras News has reported.

However, in the Peruvian market, Unacem reported cement sales volumes of 1.37Mt, down by 2.8% compared to the second quarter of 2023. 

Poland: According to the Polish Association of Cement Producers (SPC), cement sales might exceed 16Mt in 2015, while in 2017 - 2018 they might return to the record-breaking level of 19Mt. Official sales figures for 2014 have not been revealed yet, but recent estimates show that some 15 - 15.2Mt of cement were sold in 2014, which would represent a 6% increase when compared to the 14.3Mt sold in 2013.

Poland: Poland's cement production totalled 846,500t in December 2013, up by 42% year-on-year, according to statistics from the country's Cement Producer Association.

Cement sales jumped to 725,500t in December 2013, marking a 55.3% year-on-year increase on December 2012. For the 12 months to December 2013, cement output declined by 7.5% to 14.5Mt, while sales dropped by 7.6% to 14.6Mt.
