Kaushalya Logistics starts operations at depot in Bathnaha
04 February 2025India: Kaushalya Logistics has started operations at a new depot in Bathnaha, Bihar, as part of its logistics services for ACC. This latest site brings the company's total operational locations to 90. It is its fourth depot under its so-called ‘CCFA model’ for the subsidiary of Adani Cement. Kaushalya Logistics transports cement and handles associated logistics on behalf of companies including Adani Cement and JK Cement. It aims to handle a volume of 3.6Mt/yr of cement as part of its current expansion plans.
Kaushalya Logistics opens depots for Ambuja Cement in Haryana
20 January 2025India: Kaushalya Logistics has opened new depots for Ambuja Cement, part of the Adani Cement Group, in Kurukshetra and Bhiwani, Haryana.
This marks the first phase of a strategic expansion approved by ACC & Ambuja Cement to establish operations at key locations in Haryana, including Kaithal and Fatehabad. The new depots reportedly aim to improve inventory management, reduce transit times and enhance connectivity across key industrial hubs in the region.
India: Kaushalya Logistics has secured permissions for three upcoming depots, at Akbarpur, Fatehpur and Shahganj, Uttar Pradesh. Capital Market News has reported that JK Cement will use the depots in its operations.

Kaushalya Logistics launches new cement depot in Maharashtra
09 August 2024India: Kaushalya Logistics (KLL) has launched a new cement depot in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, enhancing its logistics services for Adani Cement. The depot will handle approximately 120,000t/yr of cement, supporting ACC and Ambuja Cement brands.
KLL has also introduced a new vertical in freight forwarding under full truck load services, commencing operations with VMS Equipment, a group company of construction equipment manufacturer ACE.
Managing director Uddhav Poddar said “We are thrilled to start this new association with Adani group with a new depot in Ahmednagar. Our collaboration with Adani Cement showcases our cement logistics capabilities, and our entry into the freight forwarding market marks a pivotal step in our growth strategy.”
US: Heidelberg Materials North America will inaugurate its new 2.4Mt/yr Mitchell cement plant in Indiana on 13 June 2023. The plant cost US$600m to build and is Heidelberg Materials' 'most technologically advanced and sustainable' cement plant, according to the company. It includes a 32,000t/yr cement terminal, served by a newly renovated rail depot. Heidelberg Materials North America has commissioned 1000 new rail cars to assist in efficient distribution of cement produced at the Mitchell plant.
Nigeria: BUA Cement’s Sokoto cement plant has resumed operations following a fire that killed three workers. The Sun newspaper has reported that the fire began at a diesel storage tank depot near to the plant, where third-party contract workers were welding a diesel storage tank. The group said that it activated a swift response in order to prevent any escalation of the incident.
Flender begins Voerde logistics centre expansion
17 December 2021Germany: Flender has launched the construction of a new 8000m2 storehouse at its Voerde, North Rhine-Westphalia, logistics centre. Along with the lease of an additional building from project developer Panattoni, the project will expand Flender’s total storage footprint by 19,000m2. The supplier says that the new facilities will reduce the Voerde centre’s CO2 by optimising its transport routes.
Flender CEO Andreas Evertz said "I am very happy that the expansion of our site in Voerde will allow us to centralise our logistics activities, bringing us another step closer to our goal of operating in a completely carbon neutral fashion by 2030. With the new warehouse space, we are making our logistics processes sustainable and thus reducing a significant part of the previous transport routes and the associated CO2 emissions.”
