Mexico: Cemex has appointed Louisa (Lucy) P Rodriguez as its Executive Vice President of Investor Relations, Corporate Communication and Public Affairs. She was previously head of Investor Relations. In the new role Rodriguez will report directly to the group chief executive officer.

Rodriguez holds over 25 years’ experience in international finance and capital markets. She joined Cemex in 2006 in the Investor Relations Department. She also represents the company in the international financial community. Prior to working for Cemex, Rodriguez spent 15 years at Citibank where she worked in capital markets origination, debt syndicate and securitization financing for Emerging Market issuers. In her early career, she worked for KPMG in their Audit Department. She holds a BA in Economics from Trinity College in Connecticut, US and an MBA from New York University and a Masters from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. She has been a Certified Public Accountant.

Russia: Siberian Cement Holding Company (SibCem) has appointed Andrey Rubtsov as its marketing director. He was previously the general director of Iskitimcement, a subsidiary of SibCem. Rubtsov holds a degree in management from the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA). He has worked in the cement industry since 2001.

UK: HeidelbergCement subsidiary Hanson has appointed Michael Wildmore as the technical development manager for its cement business. He holds over 30 years’ experience in senior technical and quality management roles in the building materials industry, according to Construction Index.

Wildmore joined Hanson UK, part of the HeidelbergCement, as a technical sales advisor in January 2020 having previously spent five years with Tarmac, latterly as technical manager at Tarmac Building Products. Before that, he worked for 20 years with Redland and subsequently Lafarge and LafargeHolcim after acquisitions and mergers. He is an associate member of the Institute of Concrete Technology and is on technical committees of the Mineral Products Association (MPA).

India: Birla Corporation has appointed Arvind Pathak as its managing director and chief executive director (CEO). He will succeed Pracheta Majumdar from 31 March 2021.
Pathak holds 36 years of experience in the cement industry. He has held CEO or equivalent positions for over 14 years in various large organisations which include ACC, Dangote Cement, Adani and Reliance Group. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi and a postgraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. He has also been trained in a number of international management institutions.
