Saudi Arabia: Al Jouf Cement has appointed Abdullah bin Odeh Al-Ghabeen Al-Enezi as its chair. It follows the resignation of Mohammed Saeed Attia in mid-July 2022.
Ishtiaq Ahmed appointed as head of Dewan Cement

Pakistan: Dewan Cement has appointed Ishtiaq Ahmed as its chief executive officer (CEO). He succeeds Malik Bilal Omar in the position. Ishtiaq Ahmed was previously appointed as the company’s chair in 2018. Waseem-ul-Haque Ansari has also been appointed as a director in place of the departing CEO.
Mohammed Saeed Attia resigns as chair of Al Jouf Cement

Saudi Arabia: Mohammed Saeed Attia has resigned as the chair of Al Jouf Cement. He will continue working for the company as a part-time consultant until mid-2023. Mohammed Saeed Attia was originally appointed as the chair of the cement producer in 2020.
Michele Gatto appointed as managing director of Bedeschi Far East

China: Italy-based Bedeschi has appointed Michele Gatto as the managing director of its new Hong Kong-based subsidiary Bedeschi Far East. The company is intended to assist local customers and to support the Far East market both commercially and technically.
Gatto was previously the Sales Director East Asia and Asia Pacific for Aumund from 2019 to 2022. Prior to this he worked for Bedeschi in area manager and sales roles with a focus on Asia. He has also worked for Danieli, Brevnini Power Transmission and Carraro.
Luis Guillermo Franco Carrillo appointed as head of Cemex Holdings Philippines

Philippines: Cemex Holdings Philippines has appointed Luis Guillermo Franco Carrillo as its president and chief executive with effect from 1 June 2022. He has succeeded Ignacio Mijares, who will now lead Corporate Strategic Planning at the Cemex central office.
Franco Carrillo previously worked as the Builders Segment Vice President for Cemex Mexico. He holds over 23 years of experience with Cemex, since joining the company in 1999. Prior to his assignment to the Philippines, Luis worked in senior positions in the UK, Hungary and Mexico. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
