Nepal: Surendra Prasad Paudel has resigned as the general manager of Udayapur Cement following his appointment as the head of the Nepal Oil Corporation. Paudel became the head of the cement producer in February 2018, according to the Kathmandu Post newspaper. The chartered accountant improved the financial situation at the company, reporting a profit in the last financial year and clearing debts.

Saudi Arabia: Tabuk Cement has appointed Ali bin Mohammed Al-Saif Al-Qahtani as its new general manager. It follows the resignation of Ali Bin Mohameha Al-Asmari. Al-Qahtani holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and worked for a variety of companies including Saudi Aramco.

Saudi Arabia: Saudi Cement Company has appointed Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Rajhi as the chairman of the board, Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji as Vice-President of the board and Mohammed bin Ali Al-Qarni as secretary of the council.

US: Randall P Breaux has been appointed as the president of Motion Industries. He was most recently Executive Vice President of Marketing, Distribution, and Purchasing for Motion Industries, and has nearly four decades of experience in the industrial manufacturing and distribution markets.

Breaux joined Motion Industries in mid-2011 following 21 years with ABB/Baldor Electric Company, a manufacturer of industrial electric motors, drives and mechanical power transmission components, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He joined Baldor in 1989, and held various sales and marketing positions in the company. Just prior to joining Motion, Baldor was acquired by ABB. At that time, he was promoted to Vice President of Integration by ABB and was tasked with bringing the Baldor and ABB electric motor businesses together in North America. He served as Baldor's Vice President of Marketing from 2001 - 2011, played a key role in Baldor's acquisition of Dodge and Reliance Electric from Rockwell Automation in 2007, and served as an officer of the company for over 11 years.

Switzerland: LafargeHolcim has added human resources (HR) and legal representation to its executive committee.

Feliciano González Muñoz, head of HR, has been appointed as a member of the executive committee. A Spanish national, he has worked for more than 11 years in senior HR roles with the company. González Muñoz has a PhD in Law from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa, Madrid.

Keith Carr, head of Legal and Compliance, has been appointed as a member of the executive committee. A UK national, he joined LafargeHolcim in 2017. Prior to this he was General Counsel for GE Power. Before that he was Group General Counsel & Member of the Executive Committee for Alstom. Carr gained his LLB law degree from Northumbria University and is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.

Additionally, the group’s Corporate Growth and Performance function will be organised into three Centres of Excellence, which will directly report to the Region Heads. This is intended to lead to a more agile organisation, closer to the markets and providing strong global platforms for sharing best-demonstrated practice. Current Corporate Growth and Performance function head Urs Bleisch will lead the reorganisation but he will step down from his current position on the executive position to do so.

All changes will be effective from the start of January 2019.
