In June 2020 Welding Alloys UK undertook a project to repair a mill at Hanson Cement’s site in Purfleet, Essex. The work concerned the repair of the grinding table and rollers of a Loesche LM 46 2+2S vertical roller mill, which had become worn after processing over 3.5Mt of granulated blast furnace slag. The project was complicated by restrictions due to Covid-19, but was completed successfully...ahead of schedule.
