The June 2021 issue of Global Cement Magazine contains the second in Intec Services' series of articles on 'better and cheaper cement,' the latest on global slag and other SCM trends with ZAG International and how satellites can provide new insights into global cement production. The technical section contains details of an unusual in-house fan impeller retrofit, as well as articles on compressor lubrication and conveying, while the issue's country report comes from the UK.

The July - August 2021 issue of Global Cement Magazine contains the third in Neil Taylor's series of articles on Better and Cheaper Cement, this time looking at raw material properties. There are also technical contributions regarding conveying, quarrying, maintenance and green concrete, as well as a look at how diverse recruitment strategies could benefit the cement sector.
This issue's regional report comes from North Africa and the Middle East to coincide with the second Middle Eastern Cement Virtual Seminar on 6 July 2021. We are also pleased to be able to include comment on the cement sector in North Korea, courtesy of 38 North.
The September 2021 issue of Global Cement Magazine contains the penultimate chapter in Ian Taylor's Better and Cheaper Cement series, this time examining what producers can do to optimise finish grinding. Also looking at optimisation is the World Cement Association's Pegasus Project a global benchmarking project for WCA member companies. Elsewhere there is a candid interview with Donal O'Riain, founder of Irish low-CO2 cement producer Ecocem and a view of ECOncrete's sustainable concrete structures for marine construction.

The October 2021 issue of Global Cement Magazine contains the last in Neil Taylor's series of articles on Better and Cheaper Cement, with a look at quality and process control. This month's country report is from Turkey and the issue also carries a plant report from one of Vietnam's most modern cement production facilities.
The November 2021 issue of Global Cement Magazine has a strong focus on sustainability ahead of the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, UK. This includes Global Cement's comprehensive review of ongoing CO2 capture, storage and utilisation projects in the cement sector, a look at the environmental performance of the German cement sector in 2020 and a call to action from India's Udaipur Cement Works regarding the importance of joined up approaches to data analysis.
There's also a look at the cement sectors of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, plus a look at how robotic assistants could revolutionise on-site installation of cement-based boards.
