India: UltraTech Cement has appointed Vivek Dheer as Zonal Head UBS. He has worked in sales and management roles for the cement producer since 2014. Prior to this he worked for ACC and the Hindustan Construction Company. Dheer holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology as well as marketing and business qualifications.

Indonesia: Semen Tonasa has appointed Asruddin Leo as its president director following a shareholders meeting. He succeeds Mufti Arimurti in the post, who resigned in May 2023, according to Rakyat Sulsel.

Asruddin has worked for Semen Indonesia and its subsidiaries, including Semen Tonasa, since 2011. He previously worked in finance roles at Semen Tonasa, before becoming the Head of Finance and then the chief executive officer at Thang Long Cement in Vietnam. He has also worked as the vice president for Financial Policy and Excellence at Semen Indonesia. He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master’s degree in strategic management from the Hasanuddin University in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Saudi Arabia: Yanbu Cement has appointed Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi as its chair following an ordinary general assembly. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Khereiji has also appointed as vice chair and Nabil bin Mohammed Baghdadi as secretary to the board of directors. The term of each position will last for three years, to late June 2026.

Australia: Adbri has appointed Jared Gashel as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He succeeds Dianne Mong, who has held the position of Acting CFO since March 2023. Mong will resume her role as the company’s General Manager Finance.

Gashel holds over 20 years of financial experience in multiple industries. Prior to joining Adbri, he was Acting CFO at Boral from 2022 to March 2023. His previous post at Boral was as Executive General Manager Group Finance and Property. Before joining Boral, he held multiple senior finance executive roles in Australia and Switzerland, and spent more than a decade working for KPMG, where he specialised in advisory and capital markets.

Nigeria: Lafarge Africa has appointed Chinedu Richard as its acting Chief Financial Officer.

Richard has worked for Lafarge Africa for over 10 years in a variety of financial roles. Most recently he held the position of Head of Finance Planning & Analysis. Prior to working for Lafarge Africa he was a Financial Analyst for Dangote Cement. He has also worked for Oando.

Richard is a graduate of pharmacy from the University of Lagos and holds a masters degree in business administration (MBA) from Lagos Business School. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
