Nuh Çimento receives installation of electric Liebherr crane at Hereke port

Türkiye: Nuh Çimento has installed a new electric LPS 420 portal slewing crane from Liebherr at its private port in Hereke to boost efficiency and reduce emissions. The crane has a 124t lifting capacity and can handle up to 1500t/hr. The company said that the crane is designed for high-throughput handling of abrasive materials such as clinker and cement.

Nuh Çimento’s port handles 5Mt/yr of dry bulk cargo and serves over 40 export markets. The 595m berth supports vessels up to 80,000dwt and features a 300m underground conveyor tunnel and automated loading systems.

Aggregate Industries buys Maxi Readymix Concrete in the UK

UK: Aggregate Industries has acquired Maxi Readymix Concrete, an independent readymix concrete (RMX) business based in Leicestershire and the East Midlands. The company operates a Betomix 2.66m3 twin shaft wet batch plant capable of producing 110m3/hr of compacted concrete with a silo capacity of 400t and aggregate capacity of 650t. It was supplied by Germany’s Liebherr and commissioned in 2014.

Cemex spends Euro1m on new ready-mixed concrete plant in UK

UK: Cemex has invested around Euro1m on relocating and upgrading its Eversley ready-mixed concrete plant. The new plant will be located at the Bramshill Quarry in Hampshire reducing the need for truck journeys to the fomer site nearby. The unit is being replaced with a Liebherr 2.25 mobile mix plant. The plant will have a storage capacity of 300t of cement, and 240t of aggregates. It will increase production from 80m3/hr to 24m3/hr. The inclusion of a central mixer will also enable special products such as traditional sand cement screed and flowing screeds like Supaflo to be produced, increasing the product range available.
