ACICO Cement orders mill from Cemengal
01 February 2019Kuwait: ACICO Cement has ordered a second cement grinding mill from Spain’s Cemengal. The main equipment to be included in the contract includes a 5200 Kws ball mill with all the peripheral equipment from Cemengal and a fourth generation classifier from Magotteaux XP4i-130 for high strength cements. The projected grinding capacity will be 1Mt/yr of cement and the plant will be commissioned within the first half of 2020.
The project scope will include full engineering and complete supply of mechanical, process, electrical and automation equipment as well as the steel manufacturing from the raw materials handling areas up to the cement silos discharge. Site supervision, training and& commissioning will also be provided by Cemengal.
Bedeschi to supply crusher for Quicklime Plant
31 January 2019Vietnam: Italy’s Bedeschi has signed a contract to supply a double roller crushing unit and relevant control panels for the Quicklime Plant being built in Hoa Binh, Northern Vietnam. The unit is being built by a local cement producer. Start-up is scheduled by mid-2020.
Abay Industrial Development orders cement plant from FLSmidth
24 January 2019Ethiopia: Abay Industrial Development has ordered a new 5000t/day cement plant worth Euro100m from Denmark’s FLSmidth. The plant will be built near Dejen. FLSmidth has received a down payment for the project but it will not be added to its order intake until further conditions have been met.
The order includes design and engineering, full equipment supply, automation systems, installation and commissioning as well as training and extended supervision. Completion of the order is expected during the second quarter of 2022.
China: Sinoma International Engineering’s new order intake fell by 14% year-on-year to US$4.56bn in 2018. No reason for the decrease was given but orders from its construction business segment fell by 10% to US$3.43bn. By region, local Chinese orders rose by 34% to US$1.3bn but foreign orders dropped by 24% to US$3.26bn.
Spenner orders grinding plant from Christian Pfeiffer
18 January 2019Germany: Spenner has ordered a grinding plant from Christian Pfeiffer to be built at its main site in Erwitte. The unit will include a Ø 4.4 m x 14.0 m ball mill and a QDK 187-Z cross-flow rotating cage separator. In addition to the grinding plant, the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project also includes the planning of steel and concrete constructions as well as electrical switchgears.
Christian Pfeiffer is also responsible for the manufacture, delivery and optimum coordination of all associated components such as filter systems, bucket elevator, fans, chutes, samplers, reject transport and additional silos for additives. Staff training and performance test procedures carried out by the Christian Pfeiffer employees on site are also part of the commissioning of the plant.
Belaz supplies dump trucks to APO Cement
17 January 2019Philippines: Belorussian company Belaz has sold dump trucks to the Philippines for the first time. 7555 Series 55t trucks will be used to operate in the sand quarry of APO Cement, a subsidiary of Cemex. The trucks include extended bodies, multiple-disk oil cooled brakes and additional fuel filters.
Italy: Bedeschi has signed a contract to supply a clinker storage system to Cementeria Costantinopoli in Barile. The order includes a type STK P bridge stacker and a type BEL C bridge reclaimer. The storage system consists of: a belt conveyor (15m x 1m); a belt conveyor (60m x 1m); a STK P 25/1000 bridge stacker; and a BEL C 160/21 bridge reclaimer. The system will have a stacking capacity of 100t/hr and a reclaiming capacity of 130t/hr.
LafargeHolcim Guinée orders modular grinding plant from CBMI
06 December 2018Guinea: LafargeHolcim Guinée has ordered a modular grinding plant from China’s CBMI. The deal was signed in late November 2018 and was launched in early December 2018. The project will be based at Dubréka, north of Conakry. For CBMI it is the first modular grinding plant it has officially sold.
Raysut Cement orders waste heat recovery system from Sinoma
03 December 2018Oman: Raysut Cement Company has ordered a waste heat recovery unit from China’s Sinoma. No cost for the deal or an expected timescale has been disclosed. The company says it is the first of its kind in the country. Once completed it is expected to reduce the company’s power costs at its plant by up to 30%.
Cemento Regional buys modular grinding plant from Cemengal for project in El Salvador
16 November 2018El Salvador: Guatamala’s Cemento Regional has ordered a Plug&Grind modular grinding unit for a project in El Salvador. The project includes a Plug&Grind Classic, a modular packaging and palletising system, raw material and cement storage halls and silos for bulk dispatching. The new unit is scheduled to be commissioned in the first half of 2019. It will have a production capacity of 12t/hr.
