Egypt: China-based Xiamen C&D has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Egypt’s Ministry of Transport to build a new dry bulk terminal for cement and other materials at the Al Max port in Alexandria. The terminal will include two main berths, a logistics centre, silos and storage yards. Daily News has reported that it is the first of four new terminals planned at Al Max port. The aim of the project is to reduce supply chain costs and increase the competitiveness of exports for Egyptian industry.
