Kenya: East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC) has reported a net profit of US$12.2m in the financial year which ended in June 2026, down by 69% year-on-year from US$40m recorded in 2025. The decline was largely driven by rising production costs and expenses associated with the company's business reorganisation. Operating performance also weakened, with the company recording an operating loss of US$403,232 compared to a profit of US$12.6m in the 2025 financial year. The decline came despite a 28% year-on-year increase in revenue to US$69.8m, up from US$54.5m in 2025.
EAPCC said that it will prioritise restoring operating profitability through improved plant efficiencies and optimal sourcing.
