Aumund Group integrates ESI Eurosilo
11 July 2025Germany: Aumund Group has integrated the Dutch bulk material expert ESI Eurosilo into its operations, effective 25 June 2025. The acquisition strengthens Aumund’s position as a full-range bulk material handling provider, adding vertical storage systems to its portfolio.
CEO of AUMUND Group Pietro de Michieli said “By integrating ESI Eurosilo, we are adding a strategically important component to our offering – safe, space-saving and environmentally friendly storage of bulk materials.”
Philippines: A new 7-hectare port and industrial complex, valued at over US$51m, is under construction in Lemery, Batangas. The complex includes the Sinisian Lemery Batangas port and industrial park, Lemery cement silo tank and Lemery oil terminal, with each component costing around US$17m.
The port will support Panamax-sized vessels with a draft depth of 15m, while the cement silo will hold 60,000t of bulk cement and slag. The project is expected to generate at least 200 jobs and help meet the country's fuel security needs amidst ongoing global supply chain disruptions.
Transcargo International to build cement terminal at Arish port
01 December 2023Egypt: Abu Dhabi Ports Group subsidiary Transcargo International (TCI) is building a bulk cement terminal at Arish port in North Sinai Governorate. The company says that the facility will be equipped with six 10,000t cement silos. Four silos will store up to 40,000t of grey cement, while two will store up to 20,000t/yr of white cement. Cementir Holding subsidiary Sinai White Portland Cement has signed a cooperation agreement with TCI to use the Arish cement terminal. TCI says that the terminal will serve multiple markets worldwide and help Sinai White Portland Cement to raise its total export volumes, thereby also raising its competitiveness.
TCI’s CEO Mohamed El Ahwal said "This project aligns with our commitment to support Egyptian exports by providing specialised logistics solutions across several industries. Building and operating Egypt’s first bulk cement terminal, we anticipate cost savings for cement producers in Egypt, making prices more competitive globally and increasing global market penetration."
