Saudi White Cement rebrands as Riyadh Cement Company
11 February 2021Saudi Arabia: Saudi White Cement has rebranded as Riyadh Cement Company. Mubasher News has reported that the company previously received regulatory approval for the change to the commercial register. It had used both names in parallel prior to the change.
Quinn Industrial Holdings to rebrand as Mannok
05 October 2020UK: Quinn Industrial Holdings has announced an upcoming rebranding, to take place in October 2020, to Mannok. The new branding will extend to its subsidiaries Quinn Building Products and Quinn Packaging, as well as to its Quinn brand cement. Chief executive officer (CEO) Liam McCaffrey said that the group’s 2019 results, the strongest since its acquisition from Seán Quinn in 2014, signalled the time for the change. The new name derives from the Gaelic name for Fermanagh, the UK county in which Quinn Industrial Holdings is based.
McCaffrey said, “We are extremely pleased to unveil Mannok as our new brand identity, which we believe better reflects the ownership, evolution and future focus of our business. It marks a major milestone for us following a five-year transformation programme that has empowered our staff and repositioned our businesses for continuing growth and innovation.” He added, “2019 marked our fifth successive year of earnings growth and a robust performance given Brexit uncertainty. Our targeted investment of recent years has established strong foundations for continuing growth across Ireland and the UK.”
JK Cement rebrands JK White Cement as WhiteMaxX
01 September 2020India: JK Cement says that it will sell its white cement, formerly JK White Cement, under the new name ‘WhitemaxX.’ The Economic Times newspaper has reported that the new name “strengthens JK Cement’s core commitment to delivering the maximum to its consumers and partners with a focus on consistent and premium product quality,” according to the company.
JK Cement is the world’s third largest white cement producer and it exports WhiteMaxX to 43 countries.
Komatsu rebrands mining product lines
29 July 2020US: Komatsu plans to rebrand its underground hard rock equipment, surface wheel loaders and new line of blasthole drills to reflect the company’s focus on growth in these areas. The company will retain its iconic P&H and Joy brands for the products longest associated with those names: P&H for its electric rope shovels, hybrid shovels, draglines and 320XPC blasthole drill; Joy for longwall systems, and room and pillar equipment.
“Building on the growth of our mining portfolio, we’re excited to unite more products under the Komatsu brand, while respecting the history and value of the P&H and Joy brands,” said Jeffrey Dawes, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Komatsu Mining. “As we approach Komatsu’s 100th anniversary, it’s a great moment to expand the brand in mining and celebrate the growth of these product lines.”
Bruks Siwertell rebrands
26 June 2020US: Bruks Siwertell has launched a new branding, including a brand new logo. Group chief executive officer (CEO) Peter Jonsson said, “Our new appearance is part of a recognition process. It shows customers that Bruks and Siwertell products are part of the same family, and enables the instant association of our equipment with the ability to add value to operations, generate profitability and offer an impressive return on investment for their owners.” He added, “We have grown our business significantly over the last few years and this is a natural stage in our transformation process: a new look to show the market that we are bigger than our individual brands.”
Buzzi Unicem launches rebranded Russian subsidiary SLK Cement
09 September 2019Russia: Buzzi Unicem has formed its total 8.1Mt/yr Russian operations into a limited liability company called SLK Cement. The name combines the first letters of the names of cities where its plants are located, namely Sukhoi Log and Korkino. Andrey Immoreev, chief executive officer (CEO) of Dyckerhoff Cement in Russia, said that the rebranding ‘emphasises the importance of the Russian market in the company’s plans.’ Buzzi Unicem continues to trade as Dyckerhoff in its Central and Eastern European production areas.
